Thank you, Chicago! You came out in full force to see Dirt Oval 66 & Team Demolition Derby! The 63rd annual World of Wheels, one of the Midwest’s premier custom car, truck, and motorcycle showcases, will be taking over the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont took place March 6-8, 2026. The event delivered an exciting weekend of automotive excellence, as hundreds of the finest customized vehicles were on display for causal fans & car enthusiasts alike. The sights & sounds of fresh cars is a sign that Winter is ending and Summertime racing is almost within our grasp.

Congrats to the lucky ticket and gift basket winners from the Dirt Oval 66 display! The latest demolition derby car from the Junkyard Dogs was unveiled with Steven Scarbro, Jr’s #31 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. It was shining bright under the convention center lights before it goes into battle at the Tournament of Destruction on May 23rd. Junkyard Dogs, Sting, Orange Crush, and Mean Green Machine are the 4 teams currently scheduled for the first event.

This was Dirt Oval 66 & Team Demolition Derby’s second year in a row attending the World of Wheels. 2025 featured the unveiling of Sting’s #27 wagon that was driven by Steve Vollbrecht at the 100th Team Demo event back on August 30.
