Rain Forces Cancellation of Red, White & Boom
JOLIET, IL – JULY 31, 2026: DIRT OVAL 66 CANCELS RED, WHITE & BOOM DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST
Dirt Oval 66 has made the difficult decision to cancel the Red, White & Boom event scheduled for Saturday, August 1.
The current forecast shows a 95% chance of rain throughout the entire day Saturday, with rainfall expected for nearly 24 consecutive hours. These conditions would make it impossible to properly prepare the track and safely hold the event.
Many participating drivers and pulling teams travel long distances and incur significant fuel, lodging, and transportation expenses. Rather than waiting until teams are already on the road—or until fans arrive at the facility—Dirt Oval 66 has chosen to make this decision proactively.
We understand how disappointing this is for our fans, competitors, sponsors, vendors, and staff. However, with a 95% chance of rain throughout the next 36 hours, we believe making an early and responsible decision is the right thing to do for everyone involved.
Additional information regarding tickets and any possible rescheduling will be announced through the official Dirt Oval 66 website and social media pages.
Dirt Oval 66 sincerely appreciates the understanding and continued support of our fans, drivers, teams, sponsors, and community.
