Five 0 @ Dirty O / Battle of the Badges is a highly anticipated and ultra competitive modified police car racing event on the 3/8th mile Dirt Oval track!
All drivers are Active, Retired, or In Honor Of classification first responders (Police, Fire, EMS) from any state, not just Illinois like previous years. To enter the race, a driver must raise a minimum of $500 in charitable donations for Tunnel to Towers. The amount raised determines the starting grid for the Feature race!
The allowed vehicles for the race are 1995 or newer Ford Crown Victoria, Police Interceptor, Mercury Grand Marquis, as well as 1991 and newer Lincoln Town Cars. All cars must be equipped to meet the safety and competition rules.
Five 0 @ Dirty O began back in 2017 spurred from a brainstorming cool ideas for new events. Over $500,000 was raised for Special Olympics Illinois across the 4-year history of event. For 2024, Tunnel to Towers is the chosen national charity as the beneficiary for all donations from this event.
