Calling all thrill-seekers and drivers for the annual trailer race at the Eve of Haunted Destruction. One last smash for the 2026 season!  Get your trucks, boats, campers, and anything else you can imagine, hooked-up and ready for wreckage at Dirt Oval 66. Only 20 entries accepted; register now! 

The trailer race tow vehicle is open to any 1⁄2 ton or smaller truck, van, or car (no convertibles). No 3⁄4 ton or 1 ton vehicles allowed. The race vehicle must tow a pop-up camper, travel trailer, boat trailer, or any safe item on a minimum of a 4’x6’ trailer. Halloween-theme decorations encouraged! 

Vehicle & Trailer Requirements: 

  1. Any boats must be secured to the trailer and tow vehicle. Boats must be gutted. No fuel tanks or motors allowed inside or mounted to the boat.
  2. Campers must be gutted of all garbage, loose, or hazardous items.
  3. Remove all glass in the race/tow vehicle other than windshield.
  4. Tow vehicles must have a protective screen or windshield intact.
  5. Trailers must be secured to tow vehicle with chains, cables or hitches.
  6. Trailers must be secured to tow vehicle with one ⅜” chain, or hitched to vehicle with a ball-style receiver. No Pintle hook hitches!
  7. Only ONE single  ⅜” chain can be bolted or lightly welded.
  8. The chain can only run from tongue to hitch or wrapped around the bumper.

Driver Requirements:

  1. All drivers must be at least sixteen (16) years of age with valid proof of license.
  2. Upon arrival, purchase $38 pit pass and complete waiver form at the pit entrance (East end of facility). 
  3. Attend pre-race drivers’ meeting.
  4. Bring a functioning race transponder. If you need to rent one, contact track for more info (rules@dirtoval66.com)
  5. Must wear a full face helmet, seat belt, long sleeve shirt and pants.
  6. A fire suit is recommended. 

Race Format:

  1. The trailer race is the last event of the show. A time limit may be enforced if there is no progress towards disabling/wrecking the remaining vehicles. 
  2. When the tow vehicle becomes detached from the trailer, it is eliminated from the race
  3. The last vehicle with a trailer attached is the winner.
  4. The attached trailer must be a minimum of 4 feet long to qualify for a top 3 finish. Measurements and video will be reviewed, if necessary.

Race Payout: 1st – $1500 | 2nd – $750 | 3rd – $500

Best Decorated vehicle & trailer (fan voting): 1st – $1,000 | 2nd – $500
