Afternoon’s events include a Public Safety Show – up close encounters of various safety vehicles (like an armored SWAT vehicle and drunk driver simulator), Donut Eating Contest, Performance by Joliet Police Department Pipes & Drums, Car Beauty Contest, Law Enforcement Stock Car Racing, Team Demolition Derby, Fireworks Finale and More!

Back for its 4th year, Five O @ the Dirty O is ready to raise money for a great cause. The annual event features active and retired police enforcement all over the Chicagoland area coming together to fundraise for Special Olympics – Illinois. Dirt Oval 66 raised over $1 million at the last event in 2019, making them the largest donor for the Special Olympics. The friendly yet competitive competition brings thousands of people together at Dirt Oval 66 for a night of racing, fireworks, and plenty of fun activities for a well-spent Saturday night.

The opening ceremony will include a performance by the Joliet Police Pipes & Drums, a group of 19 active and retired members of the police department paying traditional bagpipe music. Also a part of the opening ceremony is the 5-0 Beauty Contest with a crowd vote determining the winner. William Beagle, Dirty O’s very own Chaplain, will say an opening prayer and the National Anthem will be performed thanks to the talented ROTC by Bree Bogucki.

A Five-O Safety Show will accompany the competition before the event to showcase all of the participating Five-O cars for kids to check them out and meet the drivers. Aside from the Five-O Tournament, attendees will be treated to a “Dirty O Spectator” show featuring Dirt Oval fans racing their own personal vehicles on the track. Additional activities include a donut eating contest, pre-race pig roast, firework finale, and much more.
